Sibè-sêtë Bî (/ˈsibè/ /ˈsɘtë/ [appropriate] [calf]) is a subtropical Town located in the Bëmtlaci Zone of the Union of Engineers.
The name Sibè-sêtë Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Sibè-sêtë Bî was founded by Laiciel Êyë Glêtesho, who was culturaly Iron Elven.
Climate
Sibè-sêtë Bî has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Sibè-sêtë Bî receives an average of 269 cm/y (105 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Sibè-sêtë Bî covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3994 m (13103 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Sibè-sêtë Bî was founded durring the early 13th century in fall of the year 1241, by Laiciel Êyë Glêtesho. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.
Sibè-sêtë Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Sibè-sêtë Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Sibè-sêtë Bî is buildings are located arround a single spacious cobblestone mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. Their construction and material choices would make a dwarf weap with joy, for each and every part of the elaborate fortifications are purly functional and robust well byond reason. Even nonexperts can tell the walls are an excelent defencive structure. Astonishigly, the exceptionaly well made fortifications are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.
Right off the bat Sibè-sêtë Bî hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The new wealth has created some worrying attitudes in many passers by, such that it’s clear new laws have recently been enacted and enforced with such extreme scrutiny the locals seem to be going about their day as if by clockwork.
Civic Infrastructure
Sibè-sêtë Bî has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Sibè-sêtë Bî. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Sibè-sêtë Bî's parks.
Sibè-sêtë Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Sibè-sêtë Bî.
Sibè-sêtë Bî has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
Sibè-sêtë Bî has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.
Sibè-sêtë Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Sibè-sêtë Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Sibè-sêtë Bî possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Sibè-sêtë Bî's grid is powered by a god's will and kindness.
Sibè-sêtë Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Sibè-sêtë Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.
Sibè-sêtë Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Sibè-sêtë Bî has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
Sibè-sêtë Bî's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. Decorative details can incorporate various artistic or exotic motifs to suit the building's function or the architect's whim. Chevrons, zigzags, and other geometrical motifs are common forms of ornament.
